Flute Workshop

The inspiration for creating this special workshop came from Michael’s audience during his concerts. The magical sounds of these flutes are so attractive that people often asked him how they could learn to play such an instrument. For this workshop you don’t need any musical background. By learning to play the flute, you will also develop intuitive and creative skills, this experience is a deeper connection with your inner self. The tones of the Native American flutes are being  used for thousands of years because of it’s healing effects on the body and mind. Due to the pentatonic scale, it is very easy to play these flutes.

During the workshop you will learn the following:

• The construction of the Native American flute, the specific features that will make you better understand why certain techniques provide a better fluteplay.
• Learning to play the pentatonic scale.
• Special fingerings, which allow the sound spectrum of the flute to expand.
• Different blowing techniques (introduction for the advanced workshop)
• After the workshop you will be able to play a complete song, provided of course you are in the possession of a flute.

During the workshops, Michael uses the High Spirits Flute, Merlin C (birch), which is a flute that he also plays during his concerts.
